Happy Labor Day!
Observed on the first Monday of September, this U.S. federal holiday is one that honors the social and economic achievements of American workers. It recognizes the contributions of workers to the country's strength, prosperity, and well-being. The holiday is a day to celebrate the accomplishments of the labor movement and acknowledge the sacrifices made by workers and activists.
Labor Day is the perfect time to sit and reflect on the hard work we do each day. We support our families and make the money needed to further our myriad endeavors, and this is our National Day of Rest. The first observance of Labor Day was on September 5, 1882, when New York City workers took to the streets and paraded through lower Manhattan. The day later became a federal observance in 1894. The spirit of the holiday has its origins with hardworking people who still need advocacy, care, and consideration. Labor Day is more than a holiday. It's a movement. Keep it, as well as those unsung workers who are hard at work, close to your heart.
Bless your heart to all of the hard workers across the USA and that's meant with genuine sympathy because some of us Southerners had positive teachings growing up. Whatever evil being decided that "bless your heart" should come across as an insult can go touch grass. Nothing with the word "bless" should be perceived in such a negative light. If someone has the nerve to use it as an insult towards you, always reply "I'll take all the blessings I can get." The "insulter" will become immediately mute and will wish they would have kept their mouth shut. 😉
On a personal note, BFR celebrated Labor Day early by going to the massive Hillsville Flea Market that only happens twice a year for some early Christmas shopping and took the long way home for beautiful mountain scenic views through Lover's Leap 🥰 with some good friends, Don and Lisa. BFR also wants to give a special shoutout to everyone in the forklift repair and material handling industry that helps move America forward. Thank you for your hard work. Now, go grill some Smash Burgers and enjoy some homemade Peach Cobbler as that is what the BFR crew will do. ❤️
Let’s friggin’ go! It’s National Bow Tie Day, a day to celebrate the iconic Chevy logo. ❤️
The BFR team isn’t loyal to Chevy, only loyal to specific Chevy engines like the bulletproof LS, with interests in all Corvette engines like the LT1, LT4 and LT5 so the rest can kick rocks. 😂 Today celebrates all of them though. It’s a perfect day to have Bob Seger’s "Like a Rock” song on repeat. Chevy's theme song is a reflection on the strength, idealism, and carefree nature of youth, contrasting it with the passage of time and the hardships of adulthood. The phrase "like a rock" symbolizes enduring physical and moral strength, stability, and an unwavering sense of purpose. Chevrolet has invoked a strong positive message that should make its owners proud! The 2025 truck slogan has capitalized upon this belief... "Every Chevy truck just like every Chevy driver, dependability comes standard." BFR uses a Chevy work truck to complete forklift repairs that has not let the businesses customers down yet and will continue to use the “#1 selling used truck.” 💯

Exercise your freedom, choose BFR for your trusted forklift repair services!!!
Rest assured, the BFR team is not like any of its competitors. Come and be welcomed into a company that doesn’t expect you to be their doormat. None of BFR’s customers owe the BFR team anything, not their time or loyalty. That’s what’s so great about American freedom, as a consumer you get to choose a service with no strings attached and there’s just some businesses that have no idea how to handle business. It’s always the businesses job to do the foot work to keep their customers happy, it is not the customers job to keep any other businesses going besides their own. Some businesses have this twisted and BFR will gladly acquire customers from businesses who think with a negative entitled mindset. 💯
July 2025 is over and the memories have runneth over for BFR. The valuable highlights range from celebrating American freedom and a birthday to a best friend of the BFR children on the 4th to celebrating Mrs. BFR’s mother’s birthday on the 15th and National Day of Motoring on the 24th to having numerous day trips attending cruise-ins to spread the offering of BFR service opportunities. The only downfall was loosing another family pet of natural causes on the 13th at 106 years old (over 4 human years). BFR acquired an adorable exotic animal trio on July 17, 2021. Buddy passed from a brain tumor last August, Bandit passed this year and ol’ Bubba is still thriving. To ease the heartbreak, Brad surprised the family with a new baby the next day so the remaining one can bond with it. BFR welcomed sweet Shadow to the family on July 14th.
Additionally, the most exciting acquisitions for the month of July came from an array of new BFR customers! Apparently, word of mouth on affordable forklift repair is traveling in the BFR team’s hometowns. 😀 Brad’s hometown of Reidsville added a new customer to the list and it is the most unique one yet. If you know where Brad’s dad worked, then you know who this customer is. They graciously gave Brad a personal tour of the place. It’s not everyday that someone gets to see the exact machines one of their parents physically touched that sustained a living in the past. What a healing experience! BFR helped this customer find a carriage for their old lift and repair a hydraulic leak on their scissor lift. Ironically, BFR also picked up a new customer with an HVAC business in Mrs. BFR’s hometown of Mount Airy in July. This customer had BFR put a new engine in their forklift that took place on-site using several days to complete.
Special thanks to all BFR customers who help this company evolve everyday. BFR welcomes all customers from Reidsville to Mount Airy and in between! There are pieces of the BFR team’s hearts in both of these places. When customers call BFR from these two areas, that means it’s not only a day of work but is also a day to drop by to see family. A BFR work trip to Mount Airy includes gathering the kids, taking 2 vehicles to drop them off at their uncle/grandparents place, then hopping in the work truck to take care of business. It’s also a routine to have amazing lunch dates at Pete’s of Reidsville or the iconic O’Dell’s in Mayberry. Only through experiences like these can BFR gain a powerful "hometown hero" status that inspires others by contributing to the community. This can create positive ripple effects, boosting local pride and fostering a supportive entrepreneurial ecosystem within the community. Thank you ALL! ❤️
